Getting Started
To claim land you need two tools: a golden shovel (creates and modifies claims) and a stick (inspects existing claims). You can craft both, or just type /claim to get them for free.
Golden Shovel
Right-click two corners to define your claim area. Also used to resize existing claims.
Stick
Shift + right-click the ground to see claim info, boundaries, and who owns nearby land.
You start with 500 claim blocks. Need more? Use /buyclaimblocks to purchase additional blocks with in-game currency.
Creating a Claim
Before you claim, use a stick (shift + right-click) to check for nearby players' claims. Claims by different people should be at least 100 blocks apart unless both parties agree otherwise.
Place your first corner
Equip your golden shovel and right-click the ground at one corner of the area you want to protect.
Place the opposite corner
Walk to the diagonally opposite corner and right-click again. Your claim is created instantly.
All claims are rectangles — don't worry about the Y axis (height), claims automatically extend top to bottom as you build. You can point at distant blocks when placing corners without needing to stand right on them.
Trusting Players
Stand inside your claim and use these commands to grant access. Replace [player] with a username, or use all to trust everyone.
/trust
Full Access
Build, break blocks, use chests, interact with everything — except manage the claim itself.
/containertrust
Storage Only
Open chests, furnaces, and other containers. Can't place or break blocks.
/accesstrust
Visitor Access
Use doors, trapdoors, levers, and buttons. Nothing else.
/permissiontrust
Manager
Can trust and untrust other players on your behalf. Use this carefully.
/untrust [player]

Resizing a Claim

Select the corner to move
Equip your golden shovel and right-click the corner of the claim you want to adjust. You'll see it highlight.
Place the new corner
Walk to where you want that corner to be and right-click again. The claim updates instantly.
Subdivisions
Subdivisions let you give players access to specific parts of your claim — a shared storage room, a guest house, a shop — without opening up everything. Trust commands used inside a subdivision only apply to that area.
Enter subdivision mode
Type /subdivideclaims. Your golden shovel now creates claims-within-claims.
Mark the area
Right-click two corners inside your existing claim. Subdivisions show up as white dotted outlines.
Trust within the subdivision
Stand inside the subdivision and use the normal trust commands. They'll only apply to that specific area.
Exit subdivision mode
Type /basicclaims to go back to normal claiming.
Use /restrictsubclaim to prevent subdivisions from inheriting trust permissions from the parent claim.
